1. From one newbie to all the up and coming Alpha clone newbies - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
I think some of the OP's advice is quite good to be honest. I did the opposite - jumped into a variety of corps, highsec carebears, wormhole industrialists, nullsec alliances, nullsec rental corps. And the OP pretty much sums up my experience wit...

2. Decline in numbers... starting to turn into RAPID!!! - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
No worries Jenn - I come from Yorkshire, England and we're pretty well known for being direct and blunt. I prefer it - no getting lost in a maze of words. Yes, you are right - Eve in its current form is not for me or players like me. Hence sub ca...

Well, as said, I'm glad people enjoy the game...they have created something quite spectacular, and I can understand why you want to rush home to log on. I felt like that when first playing. When I first saw the visuals I was blown away - I actuall...

7. Decline in numbers... starting to turn into RAPID!!! - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
Good point Avvy. I do tend to overanalyse most things in life - but at 43 I can't see the habit dying soon. I don't think, however, that "deep analysis" has ruined my gameplay. Understanding that Eve is basically about isk creation and the murde...

Thanks for your reply Jenn - and what you say is true. I'm sort of in the middle somewhere. I see the appeal of the "sandbox mindset" and I do understand "it isn't the sand's fault" comment. I love the idea in theory, but not so much in execution....
